Final Results of the Goose Pond Junior Amateur

Goose Pond Junior Amateur Champions 
SCOTTSBORO, AL – (June 27, 2024) Final results of the Goose Pond Junior Amateur held at Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, Alabama, June 26-27, 2024.

Within the Boys 14-18 Division , Ty Hester of Guntersville claimed victory, carding a final round score of one-under par 71. He finished the tournament even-par 144, overall. 

Connor Hooper of Scottsboro  posted an overall score of seven-over par 151 to secure silver and Owen McGee of Fort Payne carded a score of 12-over 156 to take home third. 

Elizabeth Haughery of Vestavia took home the title in the Girls 14-18 Age Division, carding a 36-hole total of four-over par 148. 

Tyler Lindsey of Huntsville took home the title in the Boys 12-13 Age Division, carding a 73 for round two and 148 overall for the tournament. 
Marleigh Burt of Fort Payne carded an overall score of 62-over 206 to claim victory in the Girls 12-13 Age Division. 

In the Boys 9-11 Age Division, Troy Elmore of Valley Head secured victory with a final round score of three-over par 75. He finished the tournament at 159 overall. 

In the Girls 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division,  Ryleigh Nelson of Helena was crowned champion, posting a final round back-nine score of 44.

Emmett Franklin of Pelham finished the tournament with an overall score of ten-over par 82  to claim first place in the Boys 9-11 (9-Hole) Age Division. 

After a scorecard playoff, Cannon Rainer of Rainsville was named runner-up and Timothy Baker of Hoover took home bronze. They each finished the tournament at 84 overall. 

In the Boys 6-8 Division,  Tristan Cook of Birmingham took home gold with an 18-hole total of 74 (6-8 Age Divisions play a total of 18 holes, 9 each day). John Cease of Mountain Brook earned silver, posting an overall tournament total of 81. Taylor Price of Vestavia Hills claimed bronze with an overall score of 86.

The 2024 JGA Tour continues with its fourth event of the year, the Timberline Junior Amateur hosted by Timberline Golf Club in Calera, AL in July. 

The JGA Tour is conducted by  Junior Golf Alabama.
