MOBILE, AL – (Sept. 25, 2023) Final results of the Mobile Junior Amateur held at Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile, Alabama, September 23-24, 2023.

Within the Boys 14-18 Age Division, Blake Cornell of Daphne, Ala. earned gold with a 36-hole total of 143 (-1). Cornell was the only player to break par within all divisions, posting a three-under 69 for his final round Sunday. Jack Doggett of Jackson, Ala. carded a total 153 (+9) for both rounds to secure second. Gavin Gwen of Mobile, Ala. finished the final round with a 158 total for the tournament to secure bronze.
Sara Carter Hare of Spanish Fort, Ala. carded a 36-hole total of 154 to secure first place within the Girls 14-18 Age Division. Maria Jose Penaranda of Mobile, Ala. posted a 168 to earn second; Samia Bodalia of Robertsdale, Ala. finished with a 170 to earn third.
Alex Foster of Mobile, Ala. placed first within the Boys 12-13 Age Division, firing a 150 for the tournament. Law Taylor of Birmingham, Ala. carded a 162 to earn silver; Jackson Stubbs of Mobile, Ala. posted a 170 to secure bronze.
Within the Boys 9-11 Age Division, Timothy Baker of Foley, Ala. earned gold with a total score of 258.
John Isaiah Baker of Hoover, Ala. carded an 18-hole total of 114 to finish in first place within the Boys 6-8 Age Division. Harry Ruffin of Montrose, Ala. posted a 138 to earn second. Cain Pope of Mobile, Ala. earned third place with a 159.

The 2023 JGA Tour continues with its eighth event of the year, the Hudson Junior Amateur hosted by Musgrove Country Club in Jasper, Ala. in late October.
The JGA Tour presented by Baker Camp Arnold is conducted by Junior Golf Alabama.
